The Key Nutrition Podcast

Jan 24, 2023

The fitness industry is a multi-billion dollar industry and it's no surprise that some companies and individuals will try to scam people out of their money. Some common marketing scams include:

  1. False claims of rapid weight loss or muscle gain: Many supplements and workout programs claim to produce quick and drastic results, but these claims are often false and not backed by scientific evidence.
  2. Guaranteed results in X number of days. Or lose a set amount of pounds in a set time frame.
  3. misleading claims such as backed by clinical evidence. When reality, there’s very little evidence to support, said claim.

We discussed what to look out for, as well as a few funny and quite outlandish marketing advertisements we’ve seen this year.

We also discussed mind muscle connection, and the “starvation mode” theory, in the beginning of the podcast.
